CASTOR CHURCH CHI-RHO (the oldest Christian artefact found in Castor parish was a 3rd/4th cent Roman bowl inscribed with a chi-rho. The Water Newton Treasure, found nearby is also thought to originate from the Roman Palace/Praetorium in Castor Churchyard. Much of this treasure, now in British Museum, is also marked with the chi-rho.

The Della Robbia in Lady Chapel
The Della Robbia copy in the Lady Chapel of Madonna and Child (in straw bed) is a copy of a piece by Luca della Robbia, the original being on the Church of Santa Maria in Florence. Our copy was reproduced on plaster in the workshops of the Louvre Paris, costing £750. Sold by Earth and Fire Italian Terracotta Workshop.
