Each of our churches has a story to tell, our history begins in the 1st century AD with the building of a Roman villa on the site of St Kyneburgha, Castor. The Saxons’s gave us churches the Romans an extensive Palace, our history is rich.
To celebrate our past the parishes joined together and built the CAMUS project. Within this we have transcribed as many Births, Marriages and Deaths as we can and recorded life within the parishes from Earls to labourers and palaces to barns.
