| CASTOR is located in county Northampton, 4 1/2 miles west of Peterborough comprising chapelries of Sutton and Upton and hamlet of Ailesworth; population 1,198 in 1831; archdeaconry Northampton, diocese Peterborough. Castor Parish Records survive from 1538. |

While this index has been made with great care, omissions and errors may have occurred; therefore, it would be prudent to also consult my transcript and the parish register photocopies located at the County Record Office if a primary source is needed. |
